Getting to know you...

One of my favorite things about creating portraits is that I get to meet and spend time getting to know some pretty incredible people. Meet Sue Kuivanen. Sue is a fellow San Lorenzo Valley resident and author of a book every parent should read.... A Mother and Daughter's Journey in a Junk Food Society.

Sue is also the co-creator of SLV LOCALS, a grassroots community group reaching out to parents, community members and the San Lorenzo Valley School District to assist them in overcoming obstacles towards a fresher, stronger and healthier lunch program. As a result of this group's tireless efforts, our local public schools have already started to provide healthier food to our children. What an invaluable gift to our entire community.
